Our goal is to provide you and your family with the best dental care possible, not based on your insurance coverage, but based on your own personal dental needs.
Dental insurance companies don't base your benefits on what is best for you but instead they are based on what payout the insurance company can profitably make based on what your employer has paid them.
If your insurance company denies a claim and refuses to pay for the recommended service, it is not a reflection of how important the service is. It is based on a contract that was drawn up between your employer and the insurance company. Ultimately, if your employer is putting very little into the dental insurance "fund", you will have poor coverage (for example only covering cleanings, exams, and x-rays). Many times, what the insurance company will pay is less than what the average dentist charges for the service.
If your insurance company refuses to pay for a service or pays less than you think they should, it is very important to remember that dental insurance is designed to offset the cost of your dental treatment. In fact, it is very rare that insurance will cover the total cost of any procedure.
With that being said, we want to reiterate some core values at our office:
This means that we abstain from patchwork dentistry that will soon need to be redone. We use the finest materials and best techniques to provide you with dental work that will last and peace of mind that your treatment was done well.
